HABITAT PROJECT Here are the directions for your Habitat Project for Chapter 8. There are a total of 4 tasks. Complete task 1 first, then task 2, then task 3 and finally move on to task 4. To the right are sources that you should use in Task 1 when researching. Task 1: Key Questions and Works Cited Open the above link to view the key questions based on your chosen animal. Be sure to record the necessary information to complete your bibliography. You must have at least 2 sources. Students have access to the key questions on Google Classroom. When they are finished they also need to turn in their work via Google Classroom. Task 2: Five Paragraph Essay
Use your key questions to guide you through writing your essay. You will also be make a planning sheet to help guide you through the writing process. The above link will guide you to the planning sheet. On Google Classroom there is a Works Cited Help Sheet available to help you site your sources according to the APA format. Task 3: 3-D Model You are required to make a 3-D model of the habitat of your animal. This is to be no bigger than a shoe box. You will be graded on creativity, neatness, and how realistic the habitat is. Do NOT feel like you have to go and purchase items, there are tons of items outside that you can use for your habitat model. MODELS are due: Wednesday November 12 Task 4: Presentation Your presentation must be at least 2 minutes and engaging to the audience. The speeches will be graded on content, presentation, and time.
