Solar System Thinglink Project
What is Thinglink? Thinglink is an in-image interaction tool that allows the user to make images come alive with music, video, text, images and more!
For this project, you are going to either create or find an image that is suitable to space. You will then upload that image into Thinglink and ‘tag’ each planet with the required information. The best project will be displayed on this website for others to use to study and for BRAGGING RIGHTS!
Step #1: Finding the Image: Use the internet to find an image that contains all the planets in the solar system. Once you have found the image you wish to use right click on the image and click SAVE IMAGE AS. Continue to save the image under your home directory (your name) and name it "thinglink pic".
Step #2: Go to the website thinglink.com in a new window. Click on the red "Join Now" button in the top right corner. Proceed to create your own thinglink account. Make sure to write your login information in the front of your assignment book and label it "thinglink login information".
Step #3: Select the Create + button located in the blue box at the top of the screen. (If the create + button is not in the top right corner... exit out of the page and log back into thinglink.com and the create + button should now appear).
Step #4: Upload your collage by clicking: Chose Images or Drag and Drop Here Box. Find the image you saved from Step #1 and select.
Step #5: Add the title: Your Name Solar System Thinglink. (Ex: Diedam's Solar System Thinglink).
Step #6: Once you've named your picture, move your cursor over each image. Click where you would like to 'tag' the image. It will place a red circle at the location you click.
Step #7: At the EDIT TAG menu on the left, add the required description of the planet. Feel free to add a link to a reliable web source/ news article about the planet. You will need to add a 'tag' to each planet and add the required information.
